What Is The Irish Society Of Kentuckiana? The Irish Society has been present in the Greater Louisville area for over 30 years. We became the Irish Society of Kentuckiana, Inc. when we were approved as a charitable organization by the Internal Revenue Service. Formerly we were known as The Sons and Daughters of Erin. The Society was established to promote Irish Heritage, Culture and Friendship. It is a nonprofit organization, enriching the cultural lives of members of the Kentuckiana area. The Society offers exposure to Irish heritage and preserves, enhances and fosters pride in our Irish ancestry. In addition to many local and regional activities that it sponsors, the Society is also a member of World Communities of Louisville and has national and global affiliations with other Irish organizations. The Irish Society of Kentuckiana, Inc. is a non-sectarian organization. There is no religious affiliation. |
